SOLVENT BORNE ALKYD PAINT COMPOSITION FOR INTERIOR DECORATIVE COATING

Provided is an alkyd-based oily paint composition for decorating the interior of building which is remarkably reduced in the discharge of volatile organic compounds and is environmentally friendly. The alkyd-based oily paint composition comprises 30-70 wt% of an alkyd-based oily resin as a binder; 20-50 wt% of a pigment; 1-20 wt% of a solvent; an additive; and 1-20 wt% of a rosin modified ester resin having a weight average molecular weight of 500-5,000 as a surface drying retarder. Preferably the surface drying retarder is compatible with an alkyd-based oily resin binder and is prepared by the polyester reaction of rosin, a polybasic acid and a polyvalent alcohol.
