PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, (1) when a water repellent film of a large gas permeability for an enhanced power output of a button type air zinc battery, it has been difficult to detect a position of air diffusion paper by looking through a water repellent film with an image sensor after inserting the film in succession of the air diffusion paper into a cathode case at an assembly process of the battery because of a low light-transmitting property of the water repellent film; (2) in case air diffusion paper gets out a concave part of a bottom of the cathode case and is positioned at an adhesive part between the cathode case and the water repellent film, airtightness between the cathode case and the water repellent film is damaged, and electrolyte solution passes through the air diffusion paper and leaks outside the battery from an air hole. SOLUTION: Coloring of the air diffusion paper enables an image sensor to detect a position of the diffusion paper after insertion of the water repellent paper even when one with a large air permeability is used, and the above problem is solved by selecting and removing a part of the air diffusion paper stuck out of the concave part at the bottom of the cathode case, which enables to obtain a button type air zinc battery with high output and stable quality.
