PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development replenishing method for an automatic developing apparatus for a photosensitive planographic printing plate, in which a fluctuation in sensitivity of a developer solution with changes in development conditions can be suppressed to the minimum while a conductivity-referring replenishing system is adopted and a developing unit in the automatic developing apparatus is simply and inexpensively constructed, for processing a photosensitive planographic printing plate subjected to exposure for a high-definition image. SOLUTION: In a period immediately after starting the operation of the automatic developing machine and until the measured conductivity of the developer solution exceeds a target conductivity, the target conductivity is corrected by using a predetermined first operation expression every time when the development replenisher solution is supplied. Once the measured conductivity of the developer solution exceeds the target conductivity for the first time after starting the operation of the automatic developing apparatus, the subsequent target conductivity is corrected by using a second operation expression which uses the lapsed time from the last development replenishing time to this replenishing time, every time of replenishing the developer with the replenisher solution.
