<p>PURPOSE:To unnecessitate transfer of signal information for preheating by a method wherein a signal information casting means is provided which casts signal information for driving an element to be driven to a switching element irrespective of drive information retained in a retention means. CONSTITUTION:When an all-on signal to be inputted to an all-on terminal 16 comes to be of a high level, all outputs of respective OR circuits 17 come to be of a high level without depending on drive information outputted from a latch circuit 5. While a BEO signal of an enable output (BEO) terminal 11 is of a high level, all outputs of respective NAND circuits 3 come to be of a low level, and voltage impressed from a common electrode 12 is electrically conducted to a heating element 1. Period at a high level of both all on signal and BEO signal comes to be preheat time. When printing is performed based on drive information retained with the latch circuit 5, the printing can be realized by the same operation as conventionally by making the all-on signal be of low level. That is, switching of preheat and data on will be enabled to be performed under a logical state of the all-on signal.</p> |
