PURPOSE:To provide a direct liquid feed type writing instrument in which the inner diameter of a barrel can be increased and which has a long writable distance and can effectively use ink in the small-diameter part of the barrel. CONSTITUTION:This direct liquid feed type writing instrument has a pen body disposed at the end of the small-diameter part 12 of a barrel formed with the part 12 via a step 13 at the end of a large-diameter part 11 to directly fill ink in the barrel, and comprises a top 3 coated with pastelike back-flow preventive element 4 on its periphery to seal the tail end side of the part 11 of the barrel, wherein ink is filled at the front side of the top 3, and when the top 3 is advanced as the ink is consumed to be in contact with the step 13, a non- contact part 31 is formed between the top 3 and the step 13. |
