PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder capable of preventing a platen from being contaminated by ink when the inkjet recorder prints on a printing medium in a meshed form. SOLUTION: An absorption sheet for absorbing ink is provided on a platen of the inkjet recorder such that a part of the absorption sheet facing an inkjet head is in contact with the platen and both ends thereof in a print medium conveyance direction are away from the platen. A print medium is conveyed by being in contact with the both ends of the absorption sheet and ink adhered to the absorption sheet is not in contact with a rear face of the print medium.
