PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a runaway detection device for preventing the deterioration of the certainty of runaway detection under specific conditions, and for preventing the reception of the constraint of the scale of an address space by reducing possibility that runaway detection is not available due to the erroneous operation of a processor, and reducing the labor of the processor. SOLUTION: When detecting that a processor has performed access several times to data storage regions with the same address, this runaway detection device notifies the processor of the result, and when any reply is not made from the processor before the lapse of a predetermined time posterior to notification, the runaway detection device generates a runaway detection signal.
