PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a simple configuration, preventing occurrence of trouble such as jamming and breakage of a sheet even if a paper feeding tray supporting a sheet loading plate so as to turn between an ascent position for taking out a sheet and a descent position for making it impossible to take out a sheet is inserted into an image forming device main body, while the sheet loading plate moves to any of the ascent position and the descent position when inserting the paper feeding tray into the image forming device main body. SOLUTION: This image forming device U has the image forming device body U1 having a tray mounting port U1a, a tray mounting part U1b, and a paper feeding device KS, the sheet loading plate 8 movable between the descent position and the ascent position along a pair of guide channels 4a, 6a on side walls 4, 6, a guide member DG for lowering a projecting position having first guide members DGa, DGa for descent and second guide members DGb, DGb for descent, an engaging claw 16 movable between an engaging position and a non-engaging position, and an engagement releasing member KK supported on the image forming device body U1.
