PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically exclude face parts from a human face image.SOLUTION: A skin image analyzing apparatus operates as follows: extracting a lip area of a subject according to a color component of an original image (S240); extracting an eyebrow area and an eye area according to brightness or color components of areas located upper than the lip area (S250); extracting a nostril area according to brightness and/or color components of areas located upper than the lip area and areas other than the eyebrow area and the eye area (S260); generating a mask for specifying a skin area obtained by removing the lip, eyebrow, eye and nostril areas from a face area of the subject (S270); and analyzing a state of the skin of the subject according to original image data of the skin area (S280).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
