PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a colored image excellent in long term storage properties by a method wherein a heat sensitive coloring layer, which is formed on one side of a sheet-like base and includes a specified developer forming color by reacting with a colorless or light-colored dye precursor under heat and further includes a specified p-phenyl phenoxy methyl acetate, is provided in a heat sensitive recording body. SOLUTION: A thermal recording body consists of a sheet base and a heat sensitive coloring layer, which is formed at least on one side of this sheet base. The heat sensitive coloring layer includes a colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a developer, which forms color by reacting with the dye precursor under heat. The developer includes at least one compound represented by the formula I, in which R' represents a non-substituted aromatic group, a lower alkyl group and one member selected from an aromatic group, which is substituted by at least one member selected from halogen atoms, A represents bivalent or more valent organic group or inorganic group and (n) represents an integer 2 to more. In addition, the heat sensitive coloring layer further includes a p-phenyl phenoxy methyl acetate represented by the formula II. |
