Spray dampening device

Spray damping system for printing machines comprises a spray housing (12) fixed on a machine frame and extending parallel to and along a roller (10) requiring wetting, and a spray beam (28) with spray valves which is attached to the spray housing so that it can be adjusted in the direction radial to the roller. The spray beam can be additionally adjusted in its longitudinal direction parallel to the roller. Preferred Features: The spray beam is held in a longitudinally adjustable manner by at least two holders (38, 40) which are fixed in or on the spray housing so that they can be adjusted radially to the roller.
