<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atopic disease, especially dermatitis, -preventing and treating agent, in more details, an atopic disease-preventing and treating agent containing the aqueous extract of a galenical such as Nelumbo nucifera seeds or Forsythia suspense fruits. <P>SOLUTION: An attention was paid on the importance of a mental factor on the treatment of the atopic dermatitis, and the extract of at least one galenical for eliminating anxiety and mental hypersensitivity and reinforcing vitality, such as Nelumbo nucifera seeds, raw Rehmannia glutinosa, Pachyma hoelen, and Perilla frutescens leaves was effectively mixed with a conventional galenical extract.
