<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a BLU and a display device with heat dissipation effect and assemblability improved. <P>SOLUTION: The BLU includes a plurality of light guide plates 201, 204, a plurality of substrates 202 and a plurality of light-emitting parts 203 each arranged at least on two faces of each of the plurality of light guide plates 201, 204, each of the plurality of light-emitting parts 203 is arranged on one face of each of the plurality of substrates 202 between the plurality of light guide plates 201, 204.
