PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a reel capable of preventing a dropout from occurring at the time of recording, on a recording tape with a recording and reproduction head, or reproduction; a method for manufacturing reel components; and a method for manufacturing the reel.SOLUTION: A reel 20 includes: a bottomed cylindrical hub 22 whose outer peripheral surface 22A is wound by a recording tape; a first flange 24 integrally molded at one end of the hub 22; a second flange 26 jointed to an other end of the hub 22; a plurality of pores 38 provided at equal intervals on an annular reel gear 34 formed on an underside of a base plate 28 of the hub 22; and a gate mark 46 formed on the base plate 28 of the hub 22 that is radially inward from an inner circumference of the hub 22. The outer peripheral surface 22A of the hub 22 has a difference of 0.25 μm or less in surface roughness between a welded part and a non-welded part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
