The invention provides a container for cooling produce. The container provides a box-like housing 30 and a common plenum wall 44, creating a supply air distribution plenum 50, a return air distribution plenum 52 and a treatment zone 54 therebetween. Within the treatment zone 54, produce can be placed. A plurality of openings located within the common plenum wall 44 allows air flow to pass betweem the plenums 50, 52 and the treatment zone 54, and thus cooling the produce located therein.
