Provided is a base station capable of reducing subframe overhead and improving throughput. A base station (10) communicates with terminals (20-0 to 20-3). The base station (10) is provided with: a control unit (12) that variably sets, for each subframe, a cyclic prefix length of a cyclic prefix interval to be inserted into the subframe; and a communication unit (11) that transmits, to a terminal to which the subframe is allocated, identification information for identifying the cyclic prefix length set in the subframe by the control unit (12). |
