The present invention relates to a failure position detection device for a solar module. According to the present invention, a failure position detection device for a plurality of solar modules included in a photovoltaic system includes: a voltage detection unit which outputs an output voltage for each of the solar modules; a control unit which calculates the deviations in the output voltage between two arbitrary solar modules included in the plurality of the solar modules and determines if any solar module malfunctions depending on the deviation; and a display unit which displays the solar module which is determined to be malfunctioning. By informing the failure position of a solar module quickly and accurately, the present invention enables quick repair and maintenance in case of a failure in the photovoltaic system for efficient operation. Also, the present invention can reduce problems in supply of power due to a decrease in the power generation efficiency compared to the capacity, thereby possibly bringing in economic effects.
