PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable nozzle control device capable of positively abutting a nozzle opening or closing mechanism against a full-closed stopper under a mechanical full-closed state of a variable nozzle in its degree of opening and at the same time capable of preventing the full-closed stopper from being worn out.SOLUTION: A variable nozzle control device 30 comprises a driving motor 32 for driving a nozzle opening or closing mechanism 31 for opening or closing a variable nozzle 24, a full-closed stopper 33 abutting against the nozzle opening or closing mechanism 31 for defining a position of a mechanical full-closed position of the variable nozzle 24 and an ECU 42. The ECU 42 comprises a first control part 43 for controlling the driving motor 32 in such a way that a degree of opening of the variable nozzle 24 may become a control full-closed state and a second control part 44 for controlling the driving motor 32 in such a way that a degree of opening of the variable nozzle 24 may become a mechanical full-closed state by abutting the nozzle opening or closing mechanism 31 against the full-closed stopper 33. The second control part 44 supplies a prescribed abutting driving instruction value to the driving motor 32 and abuts the nozzle opening or closing mechanism 31 against the full-closed stopper 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
