HOLOGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM AND HOLOGRAM RECORDING AND REPRODUCING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record both of reference signals for servo operation and hologram information with a simple configuration and to simplify the optical system of a hologram recording and reproducing apparatus.

SOLUTION: A concavo-convex pattern 20 functioning as a concavo-convex figure for reference signals of servo operation and as a diffraction grating for hologram recording is formed on a substrate 12; a film having wavelength selectivity (wavelength selective film) 14 which reflects servo laser light but transmits hologram recording laser light is formed on the concavo-convex pattern; a hologram recording layer 16 is formed on the wavelength selective film; and further, a protective layer 19 is formed on the hologram recording layer.
