<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform over-heating protection by suppressing the heat generation of a heat generation portion by detecting a temperature of a mounted electronic part such as a power switching element, a shunt resistance element and a power relay. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature detector 22 is provided immediately near the mounted electronic parts B, D as portions in which the rising of a temperature accompanied by energization is large and responsiveness to a temperature variation is relatively fast and a temperature detector 23 is also provided on a substrate 21 at a position apart from these. When a temperature detection value t<SB>S</SB>detected by the temperature detector 22 is an over-heating protection control starting threshold value t<SB>SON</SB>or higher or the temperature detection value t<SB>L</SB>detected by the temperature detector 23 is an over-heating protection control starting threshold value t<SB>LOFF</SB>or higher, a restriction gain K multiplied with a steering auxiliary instruction value I is set to a smaller degree than 1 to restrict a motor current value.
