PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify and appropriately process projection data output from a sensor which has been polarized.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, an X-ray CT (Computed Tomography) apparatus comprises a plurality of photon-counting detectors and a processing circuit. The photon-counting detectors capture incident X-ray photons emitted from an X-ray source to acquire projection data. The processing circuit determines the photon-counting detector which has been polarized upon acquisition of the projection data, out of the plurality of photon-counting detectors, or the photon-counting detector which has malfunctioned, out of the plurality of photon-counting detectors, and reduces contribution of the projection data corresponding to the photon-counting detector which has been polarized or the photon-counting detector which has malfunctioned, to image reconstruction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
