PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize uneven heating of a food lower surface in a cooker performing heating by jet flows of heat medium. SOLUTION: The cooker 1 comprises a heating chamber 20, a heat medium generation device 40 generating overheated steam or hot air as a heat medium, a food tray 100 disposed within the heating chamber 20, and a food support mesh 110 for supporting food F above the food tray 110 through a predetermined distance from a food tray surface 106. The heat medium is blown into the heating chamber 20 as jet flows through an upper heat medium supply port 43 and a side heat medium supply port 47 each of which functions as a jet flow forming part. The jet flow from the side heat medium supply port 47, which blows into the space between the food tray surface 106 and a food support part of the food support mesh 110, is directed beyond the center of the heating chamber 20 of the food tray surface 106.
