The substituted phenylamidine has general formula (I). The compound having general formula (I), is new. (I) Y : O, NH or a single bond; R 1>H, linear or branched 1-12C alkyl, 2-12C alkenyl, 2-12C alkinyl, cyclic 3-8C alkyl, 4-8C alkenyl, 4-8C alkinyl, -SH, or -SR 2>1, where in cyclic form, single or multiple C-atoms are replaced with heteroatom, which is selected from N, O, P or S, and groups are substituted by single or multiple groups, selected from -R', -X, -OR', -SR', -NR' 2, -SiR' 3, -COOR', -CN or -CONR 2', where R' is H or 1-12C alkyl, and R 2>1 is a linear or branched 1-12C alkyl, which is substituted with single or multiple groups selected from -R', -X, -OR', -SR', -NR' 2, -SiR' 3, -COOR', -CN or -CONR 2', where R' is H or a 1-12C alkyl group; R 2>linear or branched 1-12C alkyl, 2-12C alkenyl, 2-12C alkinyl, cyclic 3-8C alkyl, 4-8C alkenyl, 4-8C alkinyl, 5-18C aryl, 7-19C arylkyl or alkaryl, where in cyclic form, single or multiple C-atoms are replaced with heteroatom selected from N, O, P or S, and groups are substituted with single or multiple groups, selected from -R', -X, -OR', -SR', -NR' 2, -SiR' 3, -COOR', -CN or -CONR 2', where R'=same as variable groups as in R' of R 1>; R 3>-CN, -SH, -SR 2>1, -OR 2>1, -(C=O)-R 2>1, linear or branched 1-12C alkyl, 2-12C alkenyl, 2-12C alkinyl, cyclic 3-8C alkyl, 4-8C alkenyl, 4-8C alkinyl, 5-18C aryl, 7-19C aralkyl or 7-19C alkaryl, where in cyclic form, single or multiple C-atoms are replaced with heteroatom selected from N, O, P or S, and groups are substituted by single or multiple groups, selected from -R', -X, -OR', -SR', -NR' 2, -SiR' 3, -COOR', -CN or -CONR 2', where R' and R''=same as variable groups as in R' and R'' of R 1>; R 4>-X, -CN, -SH, -SR 2>1, -OR 2>1, -(C=O)-R 2>1, linear or branched 1-12C alkyl, 2-12C alkenyl or alkinyl, cyclic 3-8C alkyl, 4-8C alkinyl, 5-18C aryl, 7-19C aralkyl or 7-19C alkaryl, where in cyclic form, single or multiple C-atoms are replaced with heteroatom, selected from N, O, P or S, and groups are substituted by single or multiple groups, selected from -R', -X, -OR', -SR', -NR' 2, -SiR' 3, -COOR', -CN or -CONR 2', where R' and R 2>1=same as variable groups as in R' and R'' of R 1>; R 5>H, -X, -CN, -SH, -SR 2>1, -OR 2>1, -(C=O)-R 2>1, linear or branched 1-I2C alkyl, 2-12C alkenyl or alkinyl, cyclic 3-8C alkyl, 4-8C alkinyl, 5-18C aryl, 7-19C aralkyl or 7-19C alkaryl, where in cyclic form, single or multiple C-atoms are replaced with heteroatom, selected from N, O, P or S, and groups are substituted by one or multiple groups, selected from -R', -X, -OR', -SR', -NR' 2, -SiR' 3, -COOR', -CN or -CONR 2', where R' and R 2>1=same as variable groups as in R' and R'' of R 1>; R 6>H, linear or branched 1-I2C alkyl, 2-12C alkenyl or alkinyl, cyclic 3-8C alkyl, 4-8C alkinyl, 5-18C aryl, 7-19C aralkyl or 7-19C alkaryl, where in cyclic form, single or multiple C-atoms are replaced with heteroatom, selected from N, O, P or S, and groups are substituted by single or multiple groups, selected from -R', -X, -OR', -SR', -NR' 2, -SiR' 3, -COOR', -CN or -CONR 2', where R' and R 2>1=same as variable groups as in R' and R'' of R 1>; and R 7>5-18C aryl or 7-19C alkaryl having ring system, where single or multiple C-atoms are replaced with heteroatom selected from N, O, P or S. Independent claims are included for: (1) a method for producing a substituted phenylamidine; (2) a method for combating unwanted microorganisms, which involves applying substituted phenylamidine to the microorganisms or the habitat; and (3) a method for the protection of seeds from unwanted microorganisms, which involves treating of seeds with a substituted phenylamidine.
