PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely adjust the angle and the positional relationship with high accuracy by supporting and turning a work in grinding and polishing the work with high accuracy using a grinding wheel of an automatic machining tool. SOLUTION: In this support pedestal 1, the work having a surface to be machined by the grinding wheel 131, is turned to switch and set the angle and the positional relationship of the surface to be machined to the grinding wheel 131. The support pedestal 1 includes: one through shaft 10 stretched between bearing members 4, to which at least two axial end parts and a supported part 11 provided in the middle part are rotatably journaled; an overlap member 20 formed of two or more blocks fixed to the outer surface of the through shaft and divided in the axial direction; and a magnet chuck 30 for sucking and holding the work. The through shaft is constructed so that cylindrical parts 11 as the supported part and a polygonal column part 15 positioned between the cylindrical parts as a reference part are coaxially integrated with each other.
