摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a thermal expansion coefficient of conventional Invar (R) and suppress martensitic transformation during cooling, because covar and Invar used for the tip end of an inner cylinder as a Dewar heat conductor causes martensitic transformation partially or in total, and volume expansion at a cryogenic temperature of about 80 K and resultantly large stress is possibly generated in an infrared detector mount of the Dewar. SOLUTION: The infrared detector of this invention comprises a Dewar having a vacuum thermal insulation structure composed of an outer cylinder having a window transmitting incident infrared rays and of an inner cylinder integrated with the outer cylinder and forming a space for inserting a cooling means; and an infrared detector arranged in the Dewar heat conduction part at the tip end of the inner cylinder of the Dewar, and cooled by the cooling means.
