<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the number of times of addition/subtraction calculations, and to reduce the number of times of round processing of converting data including a fractional part into an integer by separating the generation of a DC coefficient and the generation of an AC coefficient, generating the DC coefficient first and utilizing the DC coefficient for generating the AC coefficient in the generation of a lossless Hadamard transform coefficient. <P>SOLUTION: To this end, a DC coefficient generating unit 501 summates four input data, and shifts the summation result by 1 bit to the right to halve and round the summation result by truncating a fractional part of the result. The result of this 1-bit shift to the right is the DC coefficient. An intermediate data generating unit 501 generates, as intermediate data, a difference value between one of the four input data and the DC coefficient obtained by the DC coefficient generating unit. Then, an AC coefficient generating unit 502 generates three AC coefficients by adding the intermediate data generated by the intermediate data generating unit 501 to the other three input data respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
