PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyarylene sulfide resin composition which has excellent mechanical strengths, especially excellent breaking toughness, excellent flexural strength, and so on. SOLUTION: A polyarylene sulfide comprises the mixture of (A) a polyarylene sulfide having an intrinsic viscosity of <=0.25 with (B) a polyarylene sulfide which has an intrinsic viscosity of >=0.30 and a mol.wt. distribution of <=10 measured by gel permeation chromatography. A polyarylene sulfide resin composition comprises the polyarylene sulfide and an inorganic filler.
