The unit has an optical detector (202) for optically detecting a user input, and an interface for transmission of signal corresponding with the detected user input to a terminal. An optical projector (201) is provided for projection of input fields (101) on an area in an interior of a vehicle, where the area is attainable by a driver of the vehicle. The optical detector scans the projected input fields for detecting the user input corresponding with a certain input field, and is utilized as a projector for projection of the input fields.
