PURPOSE: A hood hinge for a vehicle is provided to increase safety for pedestrians in an accident and to cut down the maintaining and repairing cost by minimizing damages of a vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: A hood hinge for a vehicle is composed of first and second brackets(10,20), a sliding bracket(30), a sliding pin member(40), and an upper bracket(50). One end of the first bracket is bent vertically to form a first vertical unit(12) having a first inserting groove(11), a first combining hole(13) is formed on the first vertical unit, and a movable hole(14) of the predetermined length is formed on the bottom side of the first bracket, wherein a combining unit(60) passes through the movable hole and joins to a fender(3). One end of the second bracket is bent vertically to form a second vertical unit(22) having a second inserting groove(21) corresponding to the first inserting groove, a second combining hole(23) corresponding to the first combining hole is formed on the second vertical unit, and a fixing hole(24) is formed on the bottom side and penetrated by the combining unit to fasten the combining unit through the movable hole to the fender. The sliding bracket has combining elongated holes(31) with the predetermined perpendicular length and corresponding to the first and second combining holes and a pressurizing unit(32) inserted into the first and second inserting grooves and protruded to both sides at the lower side, and the sliding bracket is inserted between the first and second vertical units of the first and second brackets to project an upper part of the sliding bracket at the predetermined length. The sliding pin member of the predetermined length has hanging units(41) at both ends, combines through the first and second combining holes of the first and second brackets and the combining elongated holes of the sliding bracket, and guides movements of each bracket. The upper bracket is movably joined to the upside of the sliding bracket and fixed in the end of a hood.
