PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an envelope rate determination device that controls the rise of a next tone by how to release a key.SOLUTION: An envelope rate determination device regards off-velocity obtained at the time of release of a previous key as right-before off-velocity, and at the depression of a next key performed within a prescribed time from the release of the previous key, generates a musical tone waveform with an envelope at tone generation according to a rise rate NAR obtained by multiplying a rise rate AR associated with the timbre of a generated musical tone by a rate coefficient RC corresponding to the right-before off-velocity obtained from a rate coefficient table RT, and a rise level AL associated with the timbre of the generated musical tone. Therefore, if the off-velocity of the release of the previous key is larger, the rise rate NAR of the depression of the next key will be larger, and on the other hand, if the off-velocity of the release of the previous key is smaller, the rise rate NAR of the depression of the next key will be smaller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
