PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous silica-titania composite material which can be easily recovered by making a porous material, containing Si and Ti and having a high function, involve a magnetic particle. SOLUTION: The porous silica-titania composite material contains the magnetic particle, an oxide covering at least a part of the surface of the magnetic particle, and the porous material covering at least a part of the surface of the oxide, wherein the porous material contains Si and Ti.
