Provided is a robot control device for controlling a robot so as to encourage a user to take an action voluntarily. A control unit (10) for the robot (1) is provided with: a display control part (11) for displaying, when an output value from a sensor unit (60) has fallen out of a predetermined range, a face image showing an expression encouraging the user to take an action that corresponds to the output value; and a degree setting part (12) for setting a degree of encouragement.
