<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-halogen flame-retardant electric wire or cable superior in flame retardancy, mechanical strength and elongation, and without using a red phosphorus and halogen-based flame retardant. <P>SOLUTION: A cable sheath 4 for covering an insulator layer 2 and/or an insulated wire 11 for covering a conductor 1, is formed of a resin composition formed by mixing silane-processed magnesium hydroxide by 100-250 pts.wt. with 100 pts.wt. of a polymer composed of 50-80 pts.wt. of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, 10-30 pts.wt. of polypropylene and 10-20 pts.wt. of a maleic acid-modified ethylene copolymer of modifying of a copolymer of copolymerizing ethylene and a comonomer of an α olefin having the carbon number of 3-8 by maleic anhydride. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
