PURPOSE: A 3D input interface device and a method thereof are provided to enlarge and reduce a screen of a mobile device and to move the same upward and downward by sensing a gesture of a user based on an inertia measuring sensor. CONSTITUTION: A movement button unit(210) is attached to an outer side of a portable terminal to be pressed by a user wanting gesture input. A button sensing unit(220) senses an on/off state of the movement button unit and an IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor unit(230) includes an inertia measuring sensor. A movement information sensing unit(240) obtains movement information of the portable terminal based on the sensing result of the IMU sensor unit. An application program unit(250) enlarges or reduces a screen corresponding to the movement information by applying the movement information to an application program or provides a 3D input interface.
