ANGIOTESIN I-CONVERTING ENZYME INHIBITORY C-TERMINAL TRYPTOPHAN PEPTIDES FOR TREATMENT OF HYPERTENSION, AND USE THEREOF
摘要
The present invention relates to a C-terminal tryptophan peptide for angiotensin I-converting enzyme to treat cardiovascular disease and a use thereof. The peptide of the present invention is produced by addition or substitution of tryptophan at a C-terminal end of a peptide exhibiting ability of inhibiting angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE), thereby having remarkably increased ACE inhibitory ability compared to a peptide which has not undergone addition or substitution. In addition, the peptide does not show cytotoxicity. Therefore, the peptide can be useful as an active ingredient in pharmaceutical compositions for preventing or treating cardiovascular disease.
