摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the presence or absence of variation in gene arrangement by a simple physical measuring means. SOLUTION: DNA 16 having a non-variation type arrangement is fixed on a cantilever 2, and sample DNA 22 connecting a glass bead 20 having adequate mass (M) is connected with it to form a complex. When temperature of a solution 26 in which the cantilever 2 is immersed is gradually increased in this state, a sample DNA chain is released from a DNA chain 16 when the temperature exceeds such temperature (Tm) that releases two-chain DNA into one-chain DNA so that a large mass change occurs and a resonance frequency of the cantilever 2 is shifted onto a high frequency side. The presence or absence of variation in the sample DNA is detected based on the temperature value at that time.
