PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge which prevents a slide-contact member from rotating in conjunction with a spool and minimizes burden to an engagement part and an engagement receiving part.SOLUTION: A tape cartridge is provided with a spool 22b, a bottomed cylindrical slide-contact member 35 which is inserted in the spool 22b and slide-contacts with one end surface of the spool 22b, a cartridge case which rotatably supports the spool 22b by a shaft hole 31 arranged on one case wall 20b and a cylindrical shaft part 30 arranged on the other case wall 20a, a coil spring 36 which biases the slide-contact member 35 axially with the cylindrical shaft part 30 as a receiver, and rotation restricting means 37 which restricts rotation of the slide-contact member 35. The slide-contact member 35 includes a spring housing part 41 for housing the coil spring 36, and a flange part 42 which slide-contacts with the one end surface of the spool 22b.
