PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lash adjuster capable of addressing downsizing or inclined disposition, without increasing a number of components.SOLUTION: A plunger 12 is inserted in a body 11 so as to reciprocate. In the plunger 12, a low-pressure chamber 24 is defined, and in a body 11, a high-pressure chamber 28 is defined between a bottom wall 18 of the plunger 12 and the body 11. A peripheral wall 19 of the plunger 12 is provided with a plunger oil hole 26. Hydraulic oil is sent to the low-pressure chamber 24 through the plunger oil hole 26, and the hydraulic oil collected in the low-pressure chamber 24 can flow into the high-pressure chamber 28 through a valve hole 23 provided on the bottom wall 18. On the peripheral wall 19, a pocket portion 27 is provided, which is deformed toward the inside of the low-pressure chamber 24 and inclined upward to be a form defining the plunger oil hole 26, and regulates a liquid surface level of the hydraulic oil in the low-pressure chamber 24 at an upper end opening 37.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
