<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide iron powders for deoxidation agent which are very high in initial oxygen absorbing rate compared with conventional ones, excellent in reactivity to oxygen, high in bulk density, excellent in oxygen absorption per unit volume, and effectively utilizable for reaction even to the insides of the particle, and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The iron powders for deoxidation agent are spherical particles of sponge-shaped structure having pores with diameters of 2μm or lower connected to the outside in the inside of the particles, and having the specific surface area of the particle 100 or more times the outside specific surface area calculated from the average particle diameter. The iron powders for deoxidation agent are produced by reducing iron oxide particles of spherical shapes, produced in a fluidized calcining method, using a gas for reduction in a temperature range of 300-900°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
