PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension method of underwater membrane wherein the underwater membrane extended in a settling pond or the like can keep the extended state even water is withdrawn. SOLUTION: In this extension method of the underwater membrane, the underwater membrane supported with ropes is suspended from a suspension rope with both ends fixed, by support ropes.
