PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit change-over system capable of reliably making data transmission processing to be performed by a communication control unit coming into a sleep state or a power-off state carried out in a substitute, and not generating abnormality in a network or vehicle behavior.SOLUTION: Before a communication control unit ECU1 coming into a sleep state or a power-off state, a substitute request is sent, among candidate substitute units ECU2 to ECUm, to an ECU that is determined possible to carry out the substitute by substitute transmission propriety determination means 13. As criteria for the determination of a substitute unit by the substitute transmission propriety determination means 13 of the ECU1, substitutable processing load amount of each ECU, substitutable processing importance level, or failure determination results are used. Furthermore, by making determinations in an order considering processing importance level of each ECU during the traveling or in a halt, generations of abnormality in a network or vehicle behavior can be prevented. |
