PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which has a wide viewing angle with high contrast, and to provide a display device including the same.SOLUTION: The light-emitting device 100 is constituted of LED chips 1r to 1b each emitting a beam of light; an element base plate 2; and an encapsulation member 3 formed of a material which is translucent to the beam of light emitted from the LED chips 1r to 1b and encapsulates the LED chips 1r to 1b. The periphery of the LED chips 1r to 1b is formed lower than a position of a virtual plane, which extends in contact with the apexes of the LED chips 1r to 1b and is parallel to the surface of the element base plate 2, and surface of the element base plate 2 is formed in a dark color.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
