<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress positional displacement between a printed image rimless-printed on the front surface of a printing medium and a printed image rimless-printed on the back surface of the printing medium when rimless printing is performed on the printing medium. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming device 10 forms, with an image-for-print forming section 140, an image for front surface rimless print having a first additive area set for rimless print from the upper end side of the front surface of the printing medium P and an image for back surface rimless print having a second additive area set for rimless print from the lower end side of the back surface of the printing medium P. The first additive area and second additive area have mutually different shapes, and are set in a range where at least vertical positional displacement between the printed image rimless-printed on the front surface of the printing medium P and the printed image rimless-printed on the back surface of the printing medium P is suppressed in consideration of the error in a mechanism between the main scan and sub scan of a print head included in the printer 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
