PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the specific gravity of an epihalohydrin-based rubber vulcanized product, without lowering excellent many properties of an epihalohydrin-based rubber. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for vulcanization contains (a) 100 pts.wt. epihalohydrin-based rubber: (b) 10-100 pts.wt. crystalline low-melting point polyester resin having a melting point of crystal in the range of 120°C to 210°C; (c) an acid acceptor; and (d) a vulcanizer.
