<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint component having improved strength contributable to a smaller size and a lighter weight without a great change of processes, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The constant velocity universal joint component is provided with an acute angle portion 15, and its manufacturing method is provided for manufacturing the same. After cold plastic working, mechanical working is applied to form the acute angle portion 15. Then, carburizing treatment is performed so that a surface carbon concentration is 0.45-0.60 mass%, followed by hardening and high frequency induction heating hardening. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
