TESTING A TEXTILE FOR DAMAGE

The invention relates to an arrangement comprising a textile (4), a circuit (2), and a capacitor (3). At least some regions of the textile (4) have a layer (5) with a conductive substance, and the circuit (2) has an electric output (12) and an electric input (13). The electric output (12) of the circuit is electrically connected to the conductive layer (5) at a first location via the capacitor (3), and the electric input (13) of the circuit is electrically connected to the conductive layer (5) at a second location which differs from the first location. The circuit also has a microprocessor (6) which can be used to electrically charge the capacitor (3) and detect the charge duration for the capacitor (3) to be charged and/or the discharge duration for the capacitor (3) to be discharged via the conductive layer (5). The invention thus provides a simple possibility for testing textiles for damage in a reliable manner.
