<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil composition exhibiting a low traction coefficient compared to a refined mineral oil and a hydrocarbon synthetic oil, and having a high flash point, application thereof, and a method of reducing the traction coefficient of the lubricating oil composition. <P>SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition contains a component A and a component B, the component A is at least one monoester expressed by general formula (1) where R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>are each hydrocarbon groups and may be same or different from each other, and where total number of the R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>is 13-28, and the component B is at least one hydrocarbon synthetic oil having 20-3,000 mm<SP>2</SP>/s of kinetic viscosity at 100°C. In the lubricating oil composition, a content of the component A is 1-99 wt.%, a content of the component B is 99-1 wt.%, and the flash point is 170°C or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
