PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle brake device having a reservoir capable of securing a highly reliable operation by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The reservoir 13 includes a cylinder 23, a cover member 24 so disposed in the cylinder 23 as to close the opening 23a of the cylinder 23, and an elastic deformation member 26 displaceably disposed in the storage space 25 between the cylinder 23 and the cover member 24. An atmosphere communication passage 29 communicating with the space part 71 between the cover member 24 and the inner wall of a cylinder recess 27 is formed in the cover member 24.
