PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for polymerization within pores of a porous metal complex. SOLUTION: The process for production of a polymer characterized in polymerization or copolymerization of an organic compound monomer accomodated in the pores of the porous metal complex. The process is characterized, more in detail, by forming a coordinate polymer having a porous three dimensional structure with a transitional metal cation bound with an organic cross-linking ligand, and accomodating one or more 2-10C unsaturated organic compounds in the pores followed by the polymerization or copolymerization.
