PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device that can improve drive of a belt image carrier and stability in conveyance of a transfer material, an image forming apparatus, and a program.SOLUTION: There is provided a transfer device comprising: a belt image carrier; a driving roller that drives to rotate the belt image carrier; a first driving motor that drives the driving roller; first speed detection means that detects the speed of rotation of the belt image carrier; a transfer member; a second driving motor that drives the transfer member; and second speed detection means that detects the speed of rotation of the transfer member, the transfer device including control means that controls at least one of the first driving motor and second driving motor, so as to rotate the belt image carrier and the transfer member at a speed of rotation such that the amount of change of a value related to driving torque of the first driving motor and second driving motor when the belt image carrier is in contact with the transfer member with respect to a value related to driving torque of the first driving motor and second driving motor when the belt image carrier is separated from the transfer member becomes smaller than a predetermined amount of change.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
